Arabidopsis Test Chamber

The plant genus Arabidopsis has been widely accepted as model laboratory organisms that provide a uniquely tractable multi-cellular experimental system for studying basic eukaryotic processes. The small and genetically tractable genome of the plant species has been sequenced and extensive genetic and physical maps of all five plant chromosomes and large number of mutant lines and genetic resources are available to facilitate scientific discoveries and cross-disciplinary studies. The plant is relatively easy to culture in restricted laboratory spaces, has a rapid life cycle and allows prolific seed production, providing a large sample base for better understanding of biological sciences. The WEIBER Arabidopsis Chamber, employed for culture of these plant species in laboratories, play a significant role in maintaining the quality and quantity of cultured plants in a controlled environment.
