Gravity vs forced air, the right max temperature, and how you load the shelves decide whether LOD results are repeatable.

1. Gravity or forced convection
Gravity ovens are gentler on powders. Forced-air ovens recover faster and hold tighter uniformity. QC LOD work almost always wants forced air.
2. Temperature is not one number
Specify the working set-point (105 °C for most LOD), the maximum, and uniformity at the working point with a loaded chamber.
3. Load and shelves
Do not block the rear plenum. Perforated shelves beat solid trays. Solvent drying needs an exhaust option.
4. Control and safety
- Independent over-temperature cut-out
- Timer for overnight drying
- Calibration port
5. Special ovens
Heat-sensitive APIs need a vacuum oven. We will specify the oven.
