WEIBER Horizontal Laminar Flow workstations are designed to protect the product within the work area from airborne particulates in the ambient air. The regulated efflux of custom made laminar airflow supplies the work zone with ISO Class 5 air cleanliness to offer the best product production by a clean bench in the industry. The Horizontal Laminar Flow workstations pushes the air through a HEPA filter and directs the filtered air horizontally over the work surface at a constant speed, toward the operator.

Horizontal Laminar Air Flow generally have a taller and therefore a larger loading and working area. This allows for instruments, like microscopes to be placed inside. They are typically the preferred selection for plant tissue culture, media plate preparation, electronics inspection, medical device assembly and pharmacy drug preparation. Because they do not provide protection to the user, they should not be used in conjunction with biohazardous material, toxins or radionuclides. How To Use Horizontal Laminar Air Flow?

A Horizontal Laminar Air Flow (LAF) is a clean air workstation designed to provide a sterile environment by directing filtered air in a horizontal path across the work surface. To use it, first switch on the unit and allow it to run for 10–15 minutes to stabilize airflow. Always sanitize the workspace with 70% alcohol before starting. Place only essential sterile materials inside to avoid contamination. Work at least six inches inside the cabinet, maintaining steady, minimal movements to prevent air disturbance. Avoid blocking airflow with hands or objects. After completion, disinfect surfaces and switch off the unit properly.
